Hello Readers,
Welcome to From This Window!! From This Window will be filled with posts on views of the wonderful world we live, sharing thoughts and questions.

Our world is a fascinating place and we so seldom appreciate the beauty of the precious entity of life. The human race is so consumed by mundane activities, feeding a repetitive routines, always running to make sure deadlines are complete; we miss out on the treasures of life, busying our minds with thoughts such as “We must get this done for…” “We need to do this now or else!” All of these daily monologues do not allow ourselves time to get in touch with the essence of life.

To find a true meaning of life, it does not necessarily mean “You should go and travel!” Of course the opportunity to travel should be seized whenever such occasions arise, exploring the wonders of the world-it is on my bucket list, but the secret(s) of life in your journey could be closer than you think! It could be hiding beneath a dream you are too scared to fulfil, feared by the unknown. It could live in a book you are yet to read. Or it could simply be in the room, where you are reading this.

From This Window will also blog about films, focusing on meanings, themes and messages that they convey. Films are a great medium to illustrate messages, maybe showing an alternative or darker side of the issues that the film grabble with. In turn, films can be a powerful tool to change one’s perspectives on issues perhaps not fully considered, making them rethink on matters that could be close to their heart. From This Window will at times comment on the world through writing about films, films that have struck a chord and have released a trail of thought.

A blog is one medium to share views and opinions and should be engaging to the reader, making them wanting to explore further the topic that they have just read. This blog is created to hopefully to do just this. If the posts on From This Window can make you think, alter your perceptions, make you laugh or simply touch you in some way, then the aim of From This Window is complete!!

If you are still with me on this line then thank you so much for your time!! Hoping you enjoyed this read and that you will come back to read another entry From This Window.

All my love XX

  4. Hi Rebecca,
Thank you so much for visiting, and following my blog. I love the line:

So refreshing! I think travel is another ‘pressure’ of modern life. You can be looked upon as another species if you haven’t travelled further than Europe, and positively an alien if you haven’t even done that!
I’m looking forward to reading more of your posts over the coming days. Good to meet you 🙂

  5. Hey! Oh thank you so much for reading and commenting very appreciated! Yes travelling, or the lack of, can be seen as not developing or gaining a different perspective but people just need to look within sometimes!! Great to meet you too ☺
